Subject: Forever and Ever

Jilla Webb was known for singing in Harry James' band in 1956 and 1957. She also recorded a couple sessions with Tommy Dorsey. She recorded for Spotlite in the late '40s before moving to the larger MGM label, but never achieved any large degree of success.

"Forever And Ever" is an English language adaptation of the German song "Fliege mit mir in die Heimat" ("Fly Home With Me") by Franz Winkler, which had been the song of the Luftwaffe during World War II. Malia Rosa wrote the English lyrics, which are unrelated to the German lyrics, in 1948.
